Liverpool took the lead in the 18th minute when Dominik Szoboszlai curled a free kick into the net after the home side dominated the early stages of the encounter. The goal looked set to give the Reds all three points as they controlled much of the game.
However, Tottenham refused to give up and found a late equaliser through Richarlison, who struck near the end of the match to rescue a valuable point for the visitors and end their losing run.
The result meant Liverpool missed the opportunity to climb into the Premier League’s top four, remaining just outside the Champions League qualification places after the draw.
