breaches.
The Premier League announced the sanctions on Monday, confirming a fine of 10-point-75 million pounds and a one-year transfer ban, suspended for now.
The club has also been given an immediate nine-month ban from registering academy players.
According to the league, the violations relate to undisclosed payments made between 2011 and 2018 to players, unregistered agents, and other individuals.
The breaches came to light following the club’s 2022 takeover by a consortium led by Todd Boehly, which acquired the club from former owner Roman Abramovich.
The Premier League noted that even if the payments had been properly declared at the time, they would not have breached financial sustainability rules.
However, the club was still penalised for failing to disclose the transactions.
Officials said the sanctions were reduced due to Chelsea’s cooperation, including self-reporting and assisting investigators.
Meanwhile, The Football Association has also charged the club with dozens of additional alleged rule breaches linked to the same period.
