According to the official programme released by the British government, Tinubu will undertake the visit from March 18 to 19, 2026.

The trip marks the first state visit by a Nigerian president to Britain in nearly 37 years.

The visit will be hosted by King Charles III at Windsor Castle, where a series of ceremonial and diplomatic engagements are scheduled.

President Tinubu and Nigeria’s First Lady Oluremi Tinubu are expected to attend official receptions and meetings aimed at strengthening relations between both countries.

As part of the itinerary, Tinubu will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Starmer. The discussions are expected to focus on economic cooperation, security collaboration, and broader diplomatic ties.

Upon arrival, the Nigerian leader is also expected to be received by Prince William, Prince of Wales and Catherine, Princess of Wales.

The visit will also include engagements with the Nigerian diaspora in Britain and talks aimed at boosting trade, investment, and people-to-people relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
