CNN’s Anderson Cooper is now a father
The emotional news anchor welcomes Wyatt to the world, naming the boy after his father who died when he was just 10-years-old as the TV favourite vows to do his dad proud.
The gay CNN anchor, 52, always doubted he would have a family but welcomed Wyatt into the world this week.
He named the baby – born via surrogate – after his own dad, who died when he was only ten years old.
Now he says he wants to be a great parent in his honour.
“On Monday, I became a father – I’ve never actually said that before out loud, and it still kind of astonishes me,” Cooper said on his show.
