Wendy Williams’ To Delay Return To Talk Show Amid Health Mystery
Season 13 of The Wendy Williams Show started in October but without Wendy Williams. There have been several guest hosts but fans are eagerly awaiting her return. Unfortunately, it appears the talk show diva will not hit the purple couch anytime soon.
According to Page Six, guest hosts are scheduled until March 4. Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Bevy Smith, Terrence J, and Sherri Shepherd are a few of the people who will fill in. However, when a rep for the show was asked if the 57-year-old will return after March 4, the rep reportedly said, “Don’t overreach.”
Back in September, ForeTVHub News reported Williams was voluntarily admitted to an NYC hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. The outlet also reported she had the coronavirus but was vaccinated and asymptomatic. However, she eventually tested negative for COVID-19.
By December, it was being reported that she was also struggling with Graves’ disease and other undisclosed maladies that did not allow to return to the show.
There have been reports of alcohol abuse, which her team has denied.
