Paris Saint Germain, the French Ligue 1 champions, have submitted a second offer to Napoli to sign Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen. The offer is worth €120 million, higher than any previous offers for the player.

However, it is likely to be turned down by Napoli as it is below their asking price of £160 to £180 million. The club’s president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, has stated that only PSG can afford Osimhen’s price tag. Napoli and Osimhen are currently negotiating a contract extension with a release clause that would come into effect in 2024.

Bayern Munich has shown interest in the player, but negotiations broke down due to Napoli’s high demands. PSG sees Osimhen as an ideal backup for Kylian Mbappé.
