Tyson Fury has promised to take the fight to Anthony Joshua and be the aggressor, just like he did against Deontay Wilder in their rematch last year.

The ‘Gypsy King’ knocked out the ‘Bronze Bomber’ in an unexpected display of attacking boxing on the front foot, having previously put in a more defensive performance when they first met.

Fury also boxed defensively in his win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 and has shown his ability to adapt to both styles.

Now his representatives are deep in talks to finalise an undisputed fight with British rival AJ this summer.

He is adamant he will employ the aggressive tactics from the Wilder rematch against Joshua, rather than put in another defensive display.

Fury told Gareth A Davies: “Just like I did with Wilder.

“They said, ‘He’s gonna box and move, he ain’t gonna come and put it on you.

“What did I do? Straight at him, bombs, all the way through until he got stopped.”

When asked if there was danger that these tactics could make the fight closer, Fury answered: “No.

“I’ve got a bigger heart, tougher, mentally stronger, physically stronger, bigger man completely, punches harder, and everything is in my favour.

“When I take it to them, they can’t deal with it.

“It’s like wrestling with a T-Rex. They can’t win. I’m indestructible.”

Fury did express some disappointment in his inactivity though.

Joshua was able to fight last December, despite the pandemic.

The ‘Gypsy King’ was hoping to make a defence of his title too, but in the end this did not materialise.

Fury concluded: “It is gonna be him active, six months only out the ring, and me inactive, 18 months out the ring.

“But I’m that far in front of them all, it doesn’t matter. Heart, grit, determination, punch power, balls.

“Doesn’t matter how much head start I give them, I’ll always catch them down the straight.”
