Trevor Noah’s ‘Daily Show’ Will Wrap In December 2022
Trevor Noah will bid Comedy Central his final farewell as the host of The Daily Show on the 8th of December.
According to Variety, Paramount Global said that the final Daily Show episode featuring Trevor Noah behind the desk will air on December 8. The week of episodes preceding his departure will feature some of the most memorable moments from his seven-year tenure.
“Trevor is an incredible talent who has left an indelible mark on The Daily Show and we’re grateful for his creative partnership over the past seven years,” said Paramount Media Networks and MTV Entertainment Studios president and CEO Chris McCarthy in a statement.
“Chris has been an amazing leader and partner who has helped me realize my dream of working not just in front of the camera, but also behind the scenes, producing content that now airs across the Paramount family. I’m truly excited to see what the future holds,” Noah added.
The comedian earlier said on September 28 that he would be leaving the Comedy Central show, and now we have an official date. The Daily Show will still air on January 17, 2023, but it’s not yet known who will take over as the show’s anchor.
Trevor Noah took over as host of The Daily Show in 2015, replacing Jon Stewart.
