LA Police are searching for Megan Thee Stallion’s bodyguard after he went missing prior to being scheduled to testify in Tory Lanez’s trial.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office reportedly has police searching for Megan Thee Stallion’s bodyguard after he went missing prior to being scheduled to testify in Tory Lanez’s trial.

According to TMZ, Justin Edison was supposed to testify on Friday (December 16) in the Toronto rapper’s trial, which alleges he shot Megan in July 2020 following a party in Hollywood Hills.

Law enforcement sources told the news outlet that Edison’s “disappearance” raised many eyebrows as investigators paid a visit to an L.A. home Monday morning attempting to locate him. The goal of the search was to find out what Edison’s availability would be for testifying, but still have no clue where he is.

No one has reportedly reported Edison as missing and he’s not considered a “missing” person, the sources told TMZ.

The Houston rapper’s attorney Alex Spiro told TMZ on Monday that Megan’s team was last in touch with Edison on Thursday night and fully expected him in court on Friday for testimony they felt would be devastating to Lanez’s case. He also noted he believes there’s witness intimidation going on in Lanez’s trial and that prosecutors have launched an investigation into it.

Monday’s trial proceedings

In Monday’s trial proceedings, not much new came to light as Megan’s stylist EJ King was slated to testify as one of the final witnesses before each side rests its case. According to Law & Crime reporter Meghann Cuniff two witnesses – LAPD Officer Sandra Cabral and Jody Little, the senior D.A. investigator who introduced the recorded interview of Kelsey Harris on Friday – testified before the court broke for lunch. Both are already familiar to the jury.

There was also reportedly an issue with a juror that is being discussed in private, according to Cuniff. No details have yet been disclosed by the judge.

This is the sixth day of testimony in Tory Lanez’s alleged shooting trial in Los Angeles. Testimony for the case is expected to end on Tuesday, according to Judge Herriford.

Lanez is charged with three felony counts, including assault with a firearm causing great bodily injury, concealing a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 22 years and eight months in prison and possible deportation.
