The Wendy Williams Show Online Presence Has Been Erased
Just two weeks after the long-running show went off the air, The Wendy Williams Show’s online presence has been erased.
The official YouTube channel for the former syndicated talk show has been removed, along with official websites for the show and Wendy Williams Productions, according to Variety.
Search results for the YouTube channel came up empty, effectively scrubbing hundreds of hours of clips and other materials from the Internet.
As far as the official websites go, WendyShow.com now results in a DNS error, while the website for her production company – WendyWilliamsProductions.com – is now being auctioned off on GoDaddy.
Williams started her career as a New York City radio shock jock before hosting The Wendy Williams Show on syndicated television in 2008.
While the show regularly competed with Ellen as the top-rated daytime syndicated talk show, Williams was no stranger to controversy, though, in recent years, her failing health often made headlines as well.
Competition: While the show regularly competed with Ellen as the top-rated daytime syndicated talk show, Williams was no stranger to controversy, though, in recent years, her failing health often made headlines as well.
When the show aired its final episode on June 17, Williams herself hadn’t hosted an episode in more than a year, with several guest hosts such as Michael Rappaport, Whitney Cummings, Leah Remini, and Sherri Shepherd taking over.
Shepherd will take over with her syndicated talk show dubbed Sherri which will begin in the 2022-2023 season, hailing from Debmar-Mercury, the same company that produced Williams’ show.
