Rapper T-Pain has his thoughts on Black History Month and doesn’t think folks should celebrate it. Instead, he says that Black people should be a part of history year round and not just for one month.

“[White people should] stop celebrating it. I don’t think we should celebrate Black History Month. I think we should just have history,” he said.

Adding: “You [are] separating us again! We want to be part of history, not just one month of it. I’d rather everybody stop celebrating that s**t and just let us be part of history.  And if you haven’t paid attention, it’s the shortest month of the year.”

He also responded to the news about the bomb threats that made their way on several campuses at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

For T-Pain, he says that he isn’t shocked by the news of the bomb threats and ties it to Black students being blocked from the education system for hundreds of years. He added that the only way these kinds of incidents will stop is if “we [Black people] make our own s**t.”

It was previously reported that at least six HBCU received bomb threats the day before Black History Month, with additional colleges receiving threats on the first day of Black History Month.

NBC News reports that six juveniles have been identified as persons of interest by the FBI in connection with the bomb threats as of Wednesday (Feb. 2).
