Rihanna’s ‘Stay’ Surpasses One Billion Streams on YouTube
Rihanna’s 2013 hit “Stay” has now stepped across the one-billion streams threshold on YouTube.
According to Billboard, RiRi’s track which features Nashville artist and producer Mikky Ekko from her unapologetic album peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. It was also nominated at the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and took home Song of the Year at the 2014 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
“Stay” isn’t the first of Ri’s music videos to hit one billion streams as her other songs include “Work,” feat. Drake, “Diamonds,” and “We Found Love,” feat. Calvin Harris, all hitting big numbers on YouTube.
Rihanna’s billionaire status was further cemented after her Fenty cosmetics line catapulted her into the big B’s.
According to Forbes, the musician/entrepreneur’s net worth is $1.7 billion, making her the wealthiest artist in the world as of Aug. 2021, second to Oprah Winfrey as the world’s richest female entertainer.
In other news, the 33-year-old is building brick-and-mortar stores for her Fenty X Savage collection and plans to open up her first shop in Las Vegas with additional shops around the country in the near future.
