Pop Smoke Announce New Album Date
The release date of the 2nd posthumous album from Brooklyn rap superstar, Pop Smoke has officially been announced.
Pop Smoke, who was killed in February 2020 at age 20, has had multiple new songs released following his death. His debut album Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon came out in late 2020. Also, Migos and Polo G’s new albums both have Pop Smoke on them.
Pop Smoke whose real name is Bashar Barakah Jackson also appeared in Eddie Huang’s film Boogie and a new song called “AP” was released as part of the film’s soundtrack.
A song called “Lane Switcha” was released on the F9 soundtrack—a collaboration from Pop Smoke, Skepta, A$AP Rocky, Juicy J, and Project Pat.
During the press run for Culture III, Quavo also said that he was working with Pop Smoke on a collaborative album with the superstar before his untimely death. It’s unclear if any of their collaborations will be included on the new album on the 16th of July.
