As of October 31, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 8,491,839 while over 117,311,369 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached 218,136 and 7,849,684 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases 2,921,886 and 89,163 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (  946,330 ), Tunisia ( 712,844 ), Ethiopia ( 364,960 ), Libya ( 358,021 ), Egypt ( 330,084 ) and Kenya ( 253,327).

The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well as national and regional public health departments.
