Sequel to the announcement of the return of the Nigerian Idol by Multichoice’s Chief Executive Officer, John Ugbe, in December, the judge and hosts for the upcoming sixth season of the popular music reality show have been unveiled.

The season will be hosted by award-winning TV host IK Osakioduwa and music superstars Seyi Shay, DJ Sose and Obi Asika will be the show’s judges for the season. While the date for the premiere is yet to be announced, a teaser has been released and we are anticipating all the fun that will come with this season.

Since it made its debut in Nigeria, the Nigerian Idol has been a platform for talent discovery and expression.

Online auditions for the new season however began on November 29, 2020.

The Idol franchise has over the years produced some of the biggest Nigerian singers such as Timi Dakolo, Mercy Chinwo, and Omawumi.
