Nicki Minaj shared a snippet of a song that she decided not to place on her highly anticipated upcoming album.
Saying that Nicki Minaj’s next studio album is highly anticipated, is a true statement. Fans have been waiting for the follow-up to her 2018 album “Queen,” and Nicki is in the studio putting in the work.
On Saturday, Nicki shared a snippet of a song she decided not to put on her album. She went live on Instagram and told fans that she was in the studio with Big Fendi, and she played him a record that she decided not to put on her upcoming project. In the background, fans could hear Fendi tell Nicki, “You buggin’.”
Nicki then decided to share just a few seconds of the bars she spit over the beat, which was produced by Papiyerr. She said in her caption, “I told @bigfenditv this song is scrapped from the album & we just had a hour-long argument.”
As fans wait on Nicki’s next project, she recently served some bars on Coi Leray’s latest track “Blick Blick,” and the record quickly made its way to the top of the charts.
Prior to the announcement of their collaboration, there was a conversation among some of the new rappers in the game, such as Baby Tate and Erica Banks that expressed that they wanted features from Nicki. However, Baby Tate expressed she didn’t think she would get a feature from Nicki because she hasn’t heard from her after reaching out, and she was disappointed about it.
Erica Banks later took to Instagram to explain that she didn’t unfollow Nicki, but was blocked after she made a comment agreeing about the situation. She clarified that she loves Nicki, and explained that some artists are just excited to work with the artists that they’ve grown up admiring.
