The 21-year-old also son of Formula 1 Legend – Michael Schumacher, who will partner Russian driver Nikita Mazepin for Haas next season, is currently top of the F2 championship with one round remaining.

Schumacher and Mazepin are replacing Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen. Haas team boss Guenther Steiner said: ‘Mick has won races, collected podiums and excelled against some pretty exceptional talent in 2020.

Mick’s father, Michael, won seven world titles during his illustrious 21-year F1 career, which finished in 2012.

Schumacher also won the European Formula 3 championship in 2018.
