Ralf Schumacher believes there are more fireworks to come between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, as the championship took a new twist in Hungary with victory for Alpine’s Esteban Ocon.

Hamilton took control of the standings for the first time since the Monaco Grand Prix, as pulled off a spectacular comeback in Budapest to finish on the podium.

Verstappen has struggled for the past few races, after colliding with Hamilton at Silverstone with no points on the board, followed up by another collision with a Mercedes in Hungary, this time Valtteri Bottas.

Bottas got out of shape heading into Turn One at the Hungaroring, slamming into the back of Lando Norris’ McLaren.

Norris then hit Sergio Perez, with Verstappen also getting tangled, losing his right barge board in the incident.

The Dutchman did finish the race, however, but fell down in P9 with just a handful of points to his name, with the 23-year-old frustrated heading into the summer break.

Yet Schumacher, brother of the seven-time world champion Michael and former F1 driver, explained to Sky Deutschland that he believes this battle is far from over.
