Lebron James Uses Jay-Z Lyrics to Respond to Lakers Critics
LeBron James and Jay-Z are considered GOATS in their respective fields and both also get to deal with tons of hate from people who aren’t half as talented on a daily basis..
Fortunately, there’s a Jay-Z song/lyric for every occasion. During a Sunday night Christmas gathering with his family and close friends, LeBron James recorded himself rapping along to Jay-Z’s “Imaginary Players” in what looks like a shade to people criticizing the Lakers’ subpar season.
“Y’all rapping-ass n-ggas, y’all funny to me/You’re selling records being you, but still you wanna be me, I guess for every buck you make it’s like a hundred for me, And still you running around thinking you got something on me,” Bron raps. He was later joined by his longtime friend and business partner, Maverick Carter, who assisted him with his performance.
“Imaginary Players” can be found on Volume one of Jay-Z’s 1997 album, In My Lifetime. The album debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200, selling over 138,000 copies in its first week.

The Lakers have been struggling in the past few games this season, and are 16-18 right now.
