The Grammy Awards are returning to Los Angeles after nearly a three-year hiatus from its usual Los Angeles venue for a plethora of reasons, including the pandemic.

The Recording Academy announced the highly-anticipated awards show’s return to the left coast on Thursday (July 14.)

“We’re coming in HOT Nominations for the 65th #GRAMMYs will be announced Nov. 15, 2022, with Music’s Biggest Night set to return to the Los Angeles @cryptocomarena on Feb. 5, 2023.

The Grammy Awards will be telecast live from the Crypto.Com Arena (formerly The Staples Center) via CBS and live-streamed on Paramount+. Grammy nominees are set to be announced on November 15.

The highly-coveted awards show will also introduce five new categories during the 65th ceremony. The additional categories are Songwriter of the Year (Non-Classical), Best Score Soundtrack For Video Games, Best Spoken Word Poetry Album, Best Americana Performance, and Best Alternative Music Performance. Also, a new Special Merit Award will be given out for Best Song For Social Change.
