Grammy Award Winner, Burna Boy Receives His Grammy Plaque
Nigeria’s first Afrobeat Grammy award winner, Burna Boy has finally received his Grammy Plaque in Lagos, Nigeria.
Earlier this week, The Self acclaimed African giant took to Instagram to share photos of the beautiful golden gramophone with Fans and followers.
Sharing the photos, he wrote:
“Early Morning deliveries from across the pond!
My parents prayed for excellent children, not houses, cars or “things”. They asked my sisters for stellar degrees; one got a first class in Finance, the other got a Distinction in Engineering. They asked me for a Grammy, and here we are. I am a product of sacrifice! Thank God and thank you all again! “
Recall that 2Baba has already teased fans with a dummy of the plaque when he posted his congratulatory message for Burna last two months.
However, Burna Boy has shared the real photos of the plaque and celebrities and fans have flooded his comment section with congratulatory messages.
Recall, Burna Boy made Nigerians proud when his 2020 album, “Twice as Tall” won the “Best Global Music Album” at the 63rd Grammy Awards on the 16th of March, 2020.
