England will not face South Africa on Sunday as two members test positive to COVID-19
The first one-day international between England and South Africa has been called off after two members of hotel staff tested positive for coronavirus.
Subsequently, two members of England’s touring party have also tested positive for coronavirus and all players and staff have gone into isolation.
The match had already been postponed from Friday to Sunday after an unnamed South African player tested positive for Covid-19.
The game was due to begin at 8am UK time in Paarl but less than an hour before that start time, the contest has been scrapped.
England and South Africa are due to play two more ODIs, on Monday and Wednesday, but they are now in doubt and look increasingly unlikely to go ahead.
