Court Dismiss Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Filed Against Haddish & Spears
Sexual Abuse Lawsuit filed against Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears earlier this month has officially been dismissed.
Tiffany Haddish andAries Spears are off the hook after a recent sexual abuse lawsuit filed against them has been dismissed. It looks like the sexual abuse lawsuit that was filed against Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears earlier this month has officially been dismissed.
According to TMZ, the plaintiff in the case, who has been identified as Jane Doe throughout the situation, filed to dismiss the case with prejudice. In the lawsuit, the two comedians were accused of grooming and molesting Jane Doe and her younger brother when they were 14 and seven years old. The dismissal of the case comes after a possible settlement report surfaced last week.
Jane Doe spoke out in a statement and said,
“My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years – and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us. We wish Tiffany the best and are glad that we can all put this behind us.”
TMZ notes that she did not say anything regarding Aries Spears, but he has been cleared in the case as well.
As previously reported, the lawsuit alleged that both Tiffany and Aries groomed the two siblings a few years back, coercing them to film explicit skits. John Doe also claimed that he was molested by both comedians. The skit at the center of this incident is a video that was filmed for “Funny or Dies” and called “Through a Pedophiles Eyes.
Both Tiffany Haddish’s attorney and Aries called the situation a “shakedown.”
Aries proclaimed his innocence on his podcast and said,
“This is an extortion case, this is a shakedown and I didn’t need my lawyer to tell me this to say this, but I’m gonna echo her words, ‘we won’t be shaking down.”
Prior to his statement, Tiffany shared a statement on his Instagram, where she expressed her regrets for being involved with the skit.
