Chadwick Boseman’s $2.3M Estate To Be Evenly Divided Between Widow And Parents
Actor Chadwick Boseman died of colon cancer in August 2020. At the time of his death, he did not have a will, but his widow and parents will evenly split his wealth.
According to Shadow & Act, Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman, his widow, and Leroy and Carolyn Boseman, his parents, will share the actor’s $2.3 million estates.
Ledward-Boseman was appointed the estate’s representative with limited authority. She would like the court to equally distribute his estate to her and his parents.
Radar Online obtained the final report of accounting filed by Ledward-Boseman. The court allowed Ledward to be reimbursed for the requested amount of $47,000, which included funeral costs, a mausoleum crypt at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, South Carolina (Boseman’s hometown), and mausoleum crypts for Boseman’s parents to be laid to rest next to their late son.
Court documents revealed that Boseman’s estate has an inventoried value of a little under $4 million. This amount includes multiple residual checks that have come in since March of 2021.
Ledward says no real estate tax is due on the estate’s behalf and all California federal income taxes have been paid.
After a few bills are handled, the estate’s value comes to $2.3 million.
Boseman was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer in 2016. Ledward and Boseman began dating before the diagnosis and secretly tied the knot before his untimely death at the age of 43.
