Bobby Brown Snr. Finally Reacts to Son’s Death-Say Family Very Devastated
Grief-stricken Bobby Brown was seen Thursday afternoon, November 19, for the first time since the tragic death of his 28-year-old son, Bobby Jr.
In photos obtained by DailyMail, the music legend looked sombre as he spoke with police detectives at the front gate of the apartment complex where Bobby Jr died on Wednesday.
Brown has been left devastated at the sudden death of his son who was pronounced dead at his Encino, California apartment on Wednesday, November 18, at 2pm.
It’s not yet clear how he died but police say no foul play is suspected.
At around 1.30pm Thursday detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department were seen poring over CCTV footage captured at the apartment complex.
Four suited officers were seen at the security lodge at the main gate of the complex.
One of the officers was seen looking at a screen in the lodge carefully reviewing security footage.
It’s unclear exactly what the detectives were looking for, but it is likely part of the ongoing investigation into Bobby Jr’s death.
An hour later, detectives accompanied Brown from his home in the complex and took him to the security lodge.
Brown was seen examining CCTV footage alongside the officers before returning to his home a few minutes later.
In a statement given to DailyMail, Bobby Brown said the family is “devastated” over his son’s death, adding: “Please keep my family in your prayers at this time. Losing my son at this point in our lives has devastated my family.
“There are no words to explain the pain. We ask that you respect the family’s privacy at this time and there will be no further comment.”
Recall that Bobby Brown Jr., the son of singer Bobby Brown, who was found dead in his California home on Wednesday November 18, reportedly experienced flu-like symptoms before his untimely death.
A source connected to the family told TMZ that he was not feeling well and was experiencing flu-like symptoms before he died.
The insider also said that Bobby Brown Jr. did not have COVID-19.
The Brown family also confirmed that they will let authorities conduct an investigation into his death.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that drugs were not found at the scene and they will be doing a toxicology test.
Brown Jr. was the son of Bobby Brown and Kim Ward. The 28-year-old was also following in his father’s footsteps to become a big music star.
His death comes five years after Bobby Brown lost daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown in 2015 when she was 22. Kristina who was the only child of Brown and Whitney Houston was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub and was in coma for six months before her death.
She was discovered in the bathtub just before the third anniversary of her mother’s death. Houston, a seven-time Grammy winner, was found submerged in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills, California, hotel on Feb. 11, 2012.
An autopsy showed that she had morphine, cocaine, alcohol, and prescription drugs in her body, but the medical examiner couldn’t determine if she killed herself, if someone else killed her or if her death was accidental.
