President Bola Tinubu has sent his best wishes to the Super Falcons ahead of their second group game against Australia in the 2023 Women’s World Cup co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. After a goalless draw with Canada in their opening match, the Super Falcons must secure a win against Australia to boost their chances of qualifying from Group B.

In a statement, Tinubu expressed pride in the team’s performance against Canada and assured them of Nigerians’ support. He urged the Super Falcons to continue exemplifying determination and excellence on and off the field, representing Nigeria as worthy ambassadors.

The Super Falcons will face Australia today and play their final group game against the Republic of Ireland on July 31.
