Andy Murray and Wife Kim Sears Welcome Baby Number 4
The news comes as it has been shared that the 33-year-old will not play in next week’s Dubai Tennis Championships because of a lack of preparation time for the tournament following the baby’s arrival.
The couple, who have been married since 2015, are already parents to daughters Sophia, five, and Edie, three, as well as one-year-old son Teddy.
The Scottish sport star, who is continuing his comeback after a hip resurfacing surgery in January 2019, will travel to the United States early next week to prepare for the Miami Open, which begins the following Monday.
Murray last played at the AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam, winning his opening match against Robin Haase before losing 7-5 6-2 to Russian world number eight Andrey Rublev last Wednesday.
While tending to keep details of his personal life private, Murray did give some insight into his family life in an interview with The Times last year.
He told the publication his son was more interested in “active stuff” compared to his daughters at the same age.
The tennis pro shared: “He’s always moving around, and gets motivated by balls all around him. He just wants to throw and chase balls the whole time, whereas the two girls were a little bit mellower – so it’s quite different.”
