Côte d’Ivoire’s economic capital, Abidjan, hosted the fourth consecutive Africa CEO Forum in 2023. The forum aimed to inspire the next generation of African leaders and addressed the pressing issue of funding shortages faced by African economies.

The Ivorian Prime Minister emphasized the need for innovative economic models and proactive states to drive growth and development, acknowledging the private sector as the engine for wealth and job creation. With participation from over 70 countries and 2,000 attendees, the conference featured panels and B2B meetings. Key discussions included the importance of investing in agriculture amidst various crises and the pivotal role of the private sector as the primary employer in Africa.

The event concluded with the signing of three treaties worth $450 million, focused on long-term economic growth through accelerated industrial transformation. The Africa CEO Forum provided a platform for world leaders, heads of governments, and company directors to exchange ideas on the private sector’s contribution to Africa’s development.
