A ‘large explosion’ has caused a number of casualties at a warehouse in Bristol. The fire service, along with police and paramedics, rushed to the scene in Avonmouth this morning.

Witnesses described seeing ‘at least 10 ambulances’ racing down King Weston Lane shortly after 11am.

South Western Ambulance Service said it was ‘responding to a serious incident’, adding that crews ‘have attended with multiple resources alongside fire service and police personnel’

Avon Fire & Rescue Service said it was called at 11.22am and has confirmed there have been ‘casualties’ as a result of the incident.
