Travis Scott recently hosted a donation drive for the city of Houston, just in time for Christmas.

The rapper, who helped serve 2000 kids and families across his hometown, brought along his daughter, Stormi, to share the holiday spirit.

Houston’s Mayor Sylvester Turner joined Scott. The event took place at Sunnyside Park, not far from Missouri City, where Scott grew up.

Complex reports that Scott gave out toys, fresh produce, warm meals, clothing, and Christmas trees. He also gave out protective supplies for the pandemic. Two thousand toys from Mattel (with whom Scott collaborated earlier this year) and other brands were gifted to more than 1,000 students across a few elementary schools in the city.

Also in attendance for the event were US Congressman Al Green, US Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, City Council Member Edward Pollard, and City Council Member Carolyn Evans-Shabazz.

Though it won’t be here in time for the holidays, there’s potential for Scott’s Astroworld Festival to make a return in 2021. In November, the event’s official account posted about its potential return. That makes for as good of a holiday gift as any.
