Tyson Fury looks in unbelievable shape for his proposed world heavyweight title unification fight against Anthony Joshua later this year.

The WBC and Ring Magazine heavyweight kingpin has not fought since his dominant victory over Deontay Wilder in February 2020.

Eddie Hearn confirmed earlier this month that contracts had been signed for a two-fight deal to take place this year.

Yet, there is no confirmation on either the date or venue for the first meeting and it seems as though Saudi Arabia is the frontrunner.

Although the Match room Boxing chief  said Wembley is also a possibility, Fury is doing all he can to ensure he stays ready for when the time comes and he can get his hands on Joshua.

Taking to Instagram to model off his latest merchandise, ‘The Gypsy King’ displayed a far leaner physique than when he went for a freezing dip in Morecambe Bay six weeks ago.

Although Hearn’s announcement brought renewed optimism to fans that the biggest fight of this generation could be signed, John Fury was quick to remind everyone there is a long way to go yet.

Appearing on BT Sport, the former boxer and father of the WBC champion, said: “We need to get him out [fighting], whether these cowboys get the job sorted which I don’t think they’re going to do.

“What have they signed? They’ve signed nothing in my eyes. They’ve got no date, no venue, and no nothing.

“What does it mean if you can’t get a date and a venue? What does it mean if no one is willing to put the money up?

“It’s all about someone coming forward and saying, ‘Right, I’ll pay for the fight, I’ll stage the fight.’ Where are these people?

“That’s the position it’s in and I don’t think they can get it together. It’s too big for what’s happening and the climate the world is in at the moment.

“I just don’t think the timing is right for a fight of that magnitude with the state of the world.”
