Two Young Kenyans David Gathua and Moses Kinua have distinguished themselves through the creation of a Robotic Arm.

They said they want to make life easier for people living with disabilities.

The pair used skills learnt from a high school science group and books.

David Gathua and Moses Kinua are passionate about electronic devices, and their prosthetic arm is made of discarded computer parts and recycled wood.

“Almost one million people live without an upper limb or a lower limb so we thought of how we can help them loco mote in their daily activities,” Mr Kinua said.

“I was inspired by movies like Robocop… My uncle was a radio and TV repairman,” Mr Gathua said.
