Meek Mill has teamed up with Philadelphia 76ers partner Michael Rubin for a great cause involving students. Complex reports that the two are donating more than $2 million for scholarship funding that will “send underserved students across the city to private and parochial schools.”

The funding will help around 1,000 pre-K, elementary school, high school, and special education students throughout the 2020-21 school years. It will, specifically, provide aid to students that come from low-income households in Philadelphia. In addition to covering tuition, it will provide access to home and school technology with laptops, tablets, and Wi-Fi availability.

The scholarships are set to immediately go into effect to help families that have struggled because of the pandemic.

Meek and Rubin have previously collaborated to form the REFORM Alliance, which strives to reform in the criminal justice system. It’s already been successful, with having a part in the passing of probation reform legislation in the California congress earlier this year.
