Liverpool Replys to Bayern Munich As Mohamed Salah Transfer Plan Emerges
Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently launched a charm offensive when he referred to the striker as the “Lionel Messi of Africa”. Rummenigge appeared to make very clear Bayern’s plans to snap up the forward, but Liverpool are not willing to play ball.
“It would be an honour to have him,” Rummenigge said. “Salah is the Messi of Africa and has the skills to play for the best teams in the world.”What he has achieved can be compared to what Messi and Ronaldo did with Barca and Real.”
Liverpool has let Bayern Munich know that Salah is not for sale and that he will remain at Anfield.
Salah sparked suggestions he is ready for a new challenge in a recent interview with AS. He says; “Who knows what will happen,” Salah said. “But right now I am focused on winning the Premier League and the Champions League with Liverpool again.”
The Egyptian added: “That’s a tough question, but right now I can say that everything is in the hands of the club. Of course I want to break records here and, I repeat, all the club records, but everything is in the hands of the club.”
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp responded at the time: “I have nothing to say about the AS interview. All fine from my side.”
