Kerry Washington Just Won Her First Emmy Award 2020!
Kerry Washington is officially an Emmy winner!
The 43-year-old actress won her first ever Emmy honor for Live in Front of a Studio Audience: All in the Family and Good Times, in which she was a producer.
The live studio event picked up the Best Variety Special (Live) award during the Creative Arts Awards on Tuesday night (September 15).
Kerry broke a big record when nominations for the 2020 Emmy Awards were announced earlier this summer, picked up four nominations, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie, Outstanding Television Movie (American Son), and Outstanding Limited Series (Little Fires Everywhere).
She had previously been nominated at the annual award show in 2013, 2014, and 2016. However, she had never won.
The 2020 Primetime Emmy Awards are slated to take place virtually this year, with Jimmy Kimmel as host, this weekend on September 20.
