The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Malam Shehu Mohammed, has expressed his condolences to Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State following the tragic death of the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ahmad Jalam.

In a statement issued by the FRSC Spokesman, Mr. Olusegun Ogungbemide, on Sunday in Abuja, it was reported that the commissioner was involved in a fatal road crash on Saturday, June 1st.

The Corps Marshal conveyed his deep sorrow over the incident, describing it as an unfortunate occurrence. He emphasized the importance of enhancing road safety campaigns to prevent such tragedies in the future.

“This unfortunate incident serves as another sad reminder of the need for us at the FRSC to increase the tempo of our campaign on the nation’s highways, which the Corps is committed to doing,” Mohammed stated.

Malam Shehu Mohammed extended his prayers for the repose of Ahmad Jalam’s soul and urged Governor Bala Mohammed and the people of Bauchi State to find the strength to endure this significant and irreparable loss.

“We therefore pray Allah’s forgiveness for his shortcomings while on earth and for him to be granted Aljanah Firdaus,” the Corps Marshal added.

Reaffirming the FRSC’s dedication to combating road traffic crashes, the FRSC boss pledged continued collaboration with relevant stakeholders at various levels to address this critical issue effectively.
