Chelsea’s winning run came to an end this weekend as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Tottenham.

That result meant the Blues missed the chance to go top of the league, but Frank Lampard will still be pleased with his side’s start to the season.

Chelsea was heavily active in the summer transfer market, spending over £200million on new additions and being linked with a deal to sign Bayern Munich defender David Alaba next summer.

Alaba is wanted by several major clubs across Europe, but his £280,000-a-week wage demands may prove a stumbling block.

Notwithstanding, Alaba’s agent Pini Zahavi plans to open talks with the Blues.
