Imo State Governor Urges Residents to Renew Faith in Democracy.
The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has called on residents to reaffirm their belief in democracy as the best form of governance. In a statement released by his Special Adviser on New and Electronic Media, Nnaemeka Okafor, Governor Uzodimma acknowledged that democracy may not have addressed all of the country’s challenges. However, he emphasized the significant milestones achieved since the beginning of democratic rule in 1999.

The governor expressed satisfaction with the progress made in Imo State, particularly since January 2020. He urged Imo residents to commit themselves to enhancing and maintaining democracy, despite the inherent imperfections in the system.
