In March, Cardi B announced her line of dolls. The doll, which replicates the rapper’s looks, has been experiencing ongoing delays. Now, the budding businesswoman has canceled the release.

According to reports, fans have been angered by the delays surrounding the launch. A representative for Cardi said COVID-related issues have played a significant role in pausing production, as well as Cardi’s dislike for the product’s quality.

The release was announced as part of International Women’s Day (March 8). “Inspired by me. Created by me. Designed by me,” Cardi said on social media.

Following the announcement, the production company Real Women Are began taking pre-orders. The doll costs $35. The company announced shipping would start in October, but fans took to social media demanding answers after the deliveries never occurred.

“We deserve something more than just a waste of time and not even an apology,” one Instagram user stated.

The website still reads that the dolls are slated to be shipped out in October. But reports claim that the rapper has asked Real Women Are to refund all pre-sale purchases; the company agreed.
