Beyoncé Steps in to Save Nigerian Restaurant in North London with £8,000 Gift
Chuku’s, a popular Nigerian restaurant located in North London, has received a generous grant from Beyoncé’s foundation as part of the Black Parade Small Business Impact Luncheon.
Despite facing various challenges, including the difficulties of opening during the pandemic and rising energy costs, Chuku’s has managed to build a dedicated customer base and gain recognition for its unique Nigerian tapas.
The £8,000 ($10,000) grant from Beyoncé’s foundation will provide much-needed financial relief, allowing the restaurant to navigate the ongoing financial strains of lockdowns and rising expenses.
The co-founders of Chuku’s, Emeka and Ifey Frederick, expressed gratitude for the grant and the support from Beyoncé and the local community, which has helped the restaurant thrive and solidify its position as a beloved culinary destination in North London.
