Julian Brandt has been linked with a January transfer window move to Arsenal
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is keen to sign an attacking midfielder in the window
Real Madrid star Isco and Norwich City’s Emiliano Buendia have also been linked
But Gunners stars have reportedly discussed a potential arrival of Brandt, 24
Arsenal players have been discussing the possibility of Borussia Dortmund star Julian Brandt joining the club, according to reports.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is keen to bring in an attacking midfielder in January with his side managing just 16 league goals so far this season, and recent reports have suggested 24-year-old Germany international Brandt is high on that list.
Real Madrid star Isco, Barcelona youngster Riqui Puig and Norwich City’s Emiliano Buendia have also been linked but reports in Germany claim Brandt is tempted by a move to Emirates Stadium.

In quotes carried by Sport Witness, Sport Bild reporter Christian Falk said: ‘We know that the Arsenal scouts have already made important moves and the club is also actively discussing it in the dressing room.
‘We also know he has connections [at Arsenal], youth director Per Mertesacker has the same agents as him, and he is a bit tempted to come to London. I could very well imagine it coming true.’
‘Whether a transfer will take place is still a bit open, the winter (January) is perhaps a bit too short notice so it could be a summer thing.’
The news comes a few days after The Athletic reported that Brandt had caught the eye of the Gunners despite the fact he has only started six Bundesliga matches this season.

The 24-year-old joined Dortmund from Bayer Leverkusen for £22.9m in the summer of 2019 and went on to contribute seven goals and 13 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions in his first campaign.
He has not quite had the same impact so far this season, managing just one goal and one assist in 22 games, but he has now seen as a potential recruit with reservations having emerged from the Emirates Stadium regarding summer target and Lyon star Houssem Aouar.
Brandt has won 35 caps for Germany, scoring three goals since his debut in 2016.
