Côte d’Ivoire’s economic capital hosted the 2023 edition of the Africa CEO Forum for the 4th consecutive year.

The focus is to awake the next generation of African champions, it was the core discussions of this private sector major event. The forum assembled and kicked-start on Monday (June 5, 2023) comes at a time when African economies are at premises of lack of funding.

The host minister (Ivorian Prime Minister) asserted the role of the states and calling for bold-step taking solutions.

“He stated that there is need for states that are capable of thinking outside box on certain economic models that will bring about growth and development in the states which have been set in stone in a way,” he pleaded. 

He claimed, “We need models of pro-active states, which are strategist, which can set a vision, ensure public services are efficient, boost competitivity and regulate an economy whose backbone is the private sector. A sector that is an engine for wealth and job creation.”

Over 70 countries were represented and 2,000 people took part in the event. The conference conducted having panels and B2B meetings.

‘It’s crucial to invest now more than ever’

During the discussions, actors from sectors such as agriculture or logistics discussed the future of African countries.
