A$AP Rocky is maintaining his innocence after being accused of trying to harm a former A$AP Mob member.

According to USA Today, the rapper appeared in court yesterday (August 17) and pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. In April, A$AP Rocky was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport for a Nov. 6, 2021 shooting incident following an argument. A former member of the A$AP Mob, A$AP Relli, claims to be the victim of that shooting.

According to Rolling Stone, Relli (born Terell Ephron) will reportedly file a civil lawsuit against Rocky. Attorneys Jamal Tooson and Brian Hurwitz, say that Rocky lured Relli, a talent manager and producer, to a central Hollywood location under the impression that they would “discuss a disagreement between the two of them.”

Tooson and Hurwitz claim that Rocky (born Rakim Mayers) arrived at the location with a semi-automatic handgun.

“After arriving at the location, a conversation ensued whereby without provocation, warning, or any justification, A$AP Rocky produced the handgun and intentionally fired multiple shots at Mr. Ephron.”

Police reports state that the unidentified shooting victim at the time shared with police that Rocky was walking with two other people and later approached on the street holding a handgun.

The victim alleged that Rocky shot at him three to four times, claiming that one of the bullets grazed his left hand. Relli is planning to sue the rapper over “irreparable harm to his career in the entertainment industry” after the Los Angeles shooting.

Rocky has not been officially charged with the shooting and is scheduled to reappear in court on November 2.
