In a shocking incident that has left the local community in mourning, a 43-year-old woman was tragically stabbed to death in Manchester, United Kingdom. The brutal attack, which occurred on Sunday night at a residence on Barnard Road in Gorton, near Longsight, also left her two teenage children critically injured. A 22-year-old man, believed to be her son, has been arrested in connection with the crime.

The victim, identified by the Greater Manchester Police as Alberta Obinim, was a well-known figure in the local community, affectionately referred to as “Mother for All.” Her sudden and violent death has sent shockwaves through the neighborhood, with many residents struggling to come to terms with the tragedy.

The incident unfolded around 11 p.m. when emergency services were called to the scene following multiple distress calls. Upon arrival, they found Obinim fatally wounded and her 17-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son suffering from severe stab wounds. The injured siblings were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they remain in critical condition.

The suspect, who has not yet been named by authorities, was swiftly apprehended by police at the scene. He is currently being held in custody for questioning on suspicion of murder. According to Detective Superintendent Toby Facey of the Greater Manchester Police, the suspect is known to the victims, and the case is being treated as an isolated domestic incident.

“First and foremost, our thoughts are with the victims’ family and friends during this incredibly difficult time,” Detective Superintendent Facey said in a statement. “This is a devastating incident that has deeply affected the community. We are doing everything possible to support the family and ensure a thorough investigation is carried out.”

Police have cordoned off the area as forensic teams continue to gather evidence and interview potential witnesses. Authorities have also urged anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage from the vicinity of Barnard Road around the time of the attack to come forward.
