The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that the Super Falcons, the national women’s football team, will commence their final training camp on June 29 at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

This training camp is part of their preparations for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. The highly anticipated tournament is scheduled to take place from July 20 to August 20, 2023. The NFF’s Director of Media/Communications, Ademola Olajire, emphasized that Coach Randy Waldrum and his team are focused on ensuring the Super Falcons are in their best possible condition for the World Cup. Olajire further mentioned that there will be a send-forth dinner for the team on July 1 before their departure on July 2.

In addition, the Super Falcons will undergo a 15-day final camping program in Australia before the tournament commences. In Group A of the World Cup, the Super Falcons will face tough opponents, including co-hosts Australia, Olympic champions Canada, and tournament debutants Republic of Ireland.
