According to the German newspaper Bild, Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sané and Sadio Mané got into a heated argument in the locker room following their 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals. Both players are strikers for the team.

Sadio Mané, a striker for Bayern Munich, allegedly slapped his teammate Leroy Sané in the face during a heated altercation in the locker room after their quarter-final loss to Manchester City in the Champions League, according to German newspaper Bild.

Sané reportedly had a swollen lip as a result. Bayern has declined to comment on the incident and any possible consequences.

During the game, Mané had already been involved in a heated discussion with Sané, who came on as a substitute in the 69th minute.

Mané, a flagship recruit of Bayern’s summer transfer window last year, is currently signed with the club until June 2025. He recently returned to competition after being sidelined with an injury to his right fibula and missing out on the 2022 World Cup with Senegal.

The Bayern Munich team will play Manchester City in the quarter-final second leg at the Allianz Arena in seven days, following a match against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on the 28th day.

Bayern, known in the past as “FC Hollywood” for the antics of its star players, parted ways with its coach Julian Nagelsmann three weeks ago to replace him with Thomas Tuchel, which was met with general surprise.
