Marvel Studio’s latest production, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has been confirmed to hold in Lagos

Marvel Studio’s latest production, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to premiere in Nigeria. The film distribution company, FilmOne Entertainment confirmed the premiere will hold in Lagos ahead of the movie’s highly anticipated theatrical release globally on November 11, 2022.

The Walt Disney Company, in association with Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) and FilmOne Entertainment, has officially announced today that Nigeria will host the official African premiere of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The Black Panther costume is rumored to be worn by Shuri (Letitia Wright), and Wakanda will be in danger from some unexpected foes in the eagerly awaited sequel. Several beloved characters from the first film will make appearances in the sequel, which is expected to be yet another box-office smash.

Due to Covid-19 and claims of minor stunt injuries on set, the production process has been plagued by delays for more than a year. After months of rumours regarding the recasting of King T’Challa, played by Chadwick Boseman, who had passed away from cancer the year before, production began in August 2020.

Even though Marvel hasn’t yet made the new Black Panther official, the sequel’s most recent trailer, which debuted last month, made it clear that Wright will play the superhero.
