American rapper Cardi B has publicly stood in solidarity with Ghanaian actress Akuapem Poloo who was incarcerated for posting a nude photo with her son last year.

The social media sensation was slapped with a 90-day jail term by an Accra Circuit Court amid tears from her following her sentencing.

But Card B believes the jail term was too harsh. This was after a Twitter user prompted her about Rosemond Brown’s predicament.

In 2019 Cardi and Poloo met in Ghana and both acts have shown love for each other since then.

Reacting to the incident, Cardi insisted that a social media probation or community service would have sufficed.

She wrote “I see a lot of Americans do photoshoots like that. Even though this is not my style I don’t think she was going for sexual more going the natural idea. I think jail is a bit harsh.”

“Maybe social media probation or community service, she added.”
